What’s New for 2024

For 2024, the Porsche 718 Boxster receives a number of key updates. Arriving this year is an all-new 718 Boxster Style Edition variant that adds a variety of unique exterior and interior design cues. Last year’s Boxster T model has been discontinued. At the top of the 718 Boxster range now sits a new Spyder RS trim. These models feature an exhilarating 4.0-liter flat-six that generates 493 horsepower. Finally, a new Ruby Star Neo exterior paint color is now available for the 2024 model year.

What the Critics Say

“The Porsche 718 Boxster is a convertible sports car in the classical sense, which is to say it’s focused primarily on nimble handling and driver enjoyment. We wouldn’t want it any other way. Much of its allure comes from its mid-engine configuration, meaning the engine sits between the seats and rear wheels. This gives the 718 Boxster (and its fixed-roof 718 Cayman sibling) a handling balance prized by car enthusiasts.” – Edmunds

“The Porsche Boxster is an outstanding vehicle. There are two powerful turbocharged engines, both of which get pretty good gas mileage. Handling and ride quality are superb. The two-seat Boxster’s interior is replete with premium materials, and headroom and legroom are plentiful.” – U.S. News & World Report

Porsche 718 Boxster Features

Porsche 718 Boxster Performance

Performance

Two proven turbocharged 4-cylinder engines provide the muscle at the entry of the 718 Boxster range. Powering the 718 Boxster and the 718 Boxster T is a turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder boxer engine delivering 300 horsepower. You’ll be upgraded to a turbocharged 2.5L 4-cylinder boxer engine in the 718 Boxster S that generates 350 horsepower, and can rocket you from 0 to 60 in just 4.4 seconds. True enthusiasts will be drawn to the naturally-aspirated 4.0L boxer 6-cylinder that cranks out either 394 horsepower (in the 718 Boxster GTS 4.0) or 493 horsepower (in the 718 Spyder RS).

Transmission choices include both a responsive 7-speed PDK transmission that features a manual shift mode for lightning-fast gear changes with zero interruption in power delivery and a smooth-shifting 6-speed manual. Providing a fitting soundtrack as you rocket down a twisting canyon road is the signature Porsche exhaust note of the 718 Boxster. Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) is an optional system that enhances driving dynamics and stability, helping to bolster confidence behind the wheel.
